ALICE ARMSTRONG

EUROPEAN BLUES ARTIST 2025 + UKBF CONTEMPORARY ARTIST OF THE YEAR 2025
“Really loving that vocal” Craig Charles, BBC6 Radio
“A thing of wonder” Cerys Matthews, BBC Radio 2

Alice Armstrong is an independent, multi-award-winning singer-songwriter and entertainer from the UK, whose music creates a world of magic, humour and depth. Reshaping nostalgic rhythm & blues grooves through a contemporary lens, Armstrong delivers heart-breaking ballads and toe-tapping ear-worms with a breathtaking vocal talent, sharp wit and electric stage presence, all backed by a world-class band.

In 2025 so far, Armstrong has performed live on BBC Radio 2 at Maida Vale Studios and was interviewed on air by Cerys Matthews for the second time. She and her band secured first place at the European Blues Challenge after competing against acts from 22 other countries, and was voted Contemporary Artist of the Year at the UK Blues Awards for the second year running. She also features on Joe Bonamassa’s Spotify playlists and has played to sold out venues in over 20 countries.   Alice has headlined at Cerdanyola Blues Festival (Spain), 15th Split Blues Festival (Croatia), Playing with Fire Festival (Omaha, USA), Notodden Blues Festival (Norway), Kaiserlautern Festival (Germany), BlauBlues Festival (Belgium), Blues Alive Festival (Prague) and the Great British Rhythm & Blues Festival (UK).  She is a superbly talented, much sought after musician

Her debut studio EP Love, Sex and Death was met with critical acclaim, followed by the equally celebrated 2024’s Live at Area 88. Her second studio EP, Fury and Euphoria, was released on 1st July 2025.  Alice is currently working on her third EP release (2026).

PAT FULGONI BLUES EXPERIENCE

The debut 2024 Pat Fulgoni Blues Experience album has received considerable acclaim, a no 3 in the UK blues airplay charts and a nomination in the UK Blues Awards.  Already with European dates under their belts “Blues in Britain” writes ‘its a blues set to cherish… Pat and co just do them so well” Reviewing Tenby Blues Festival, Blues Matters Mag said: “There then followed an entirely different style and set of full throttle funky electric blues led by Pat Fulgoni and his Blues Experience. With a full on five piece band Fulgoni’s powerful vocal delivery worked wonders as he pushed the boat out with a confidence that highlighted this band’s importance in the growing blues world in the UK.”

In his time Pat has sung across many genres and worked with festival headlining producers from Zion Train to Camo & Krooked, London Electricity to Murdock to Coldcut and a range of weird and wonderful sounds including with Jeff Buckley / Capt Beefheart guitarist Gary Lucas (NYC) as well as touring the world as a live artist and as part of Huddersfield legends Kava Kava. But it’s truly magical when he sings the blues especially when backed by the stunning musicianship of this band featuring talented musicians including Jacob Beckwith on guitar, Jaden Hart bass, Sam Bolt keys and Zebedee Sylvester drums. Billboard Magazine says “Fulgoni could sing a pearl from its oyster”. They ain’t wrong and Blues Matters adds “completely blown away because he can sing, I mean really sing, ridiculously well”

Don’t miss this band. They took the roof off here at Marsden Jazz Festival 2025 as one of our headliners

CROSSCUT SAW

“A Crosscut Saw gig is a hoodoo rollercoaster of pure primeval power. No hype, no image, no posturing, no deception, just true alchemy. No two performances are ever the same, even the musicians themselves don’t know what potent brew will be cooked up”

A three-piece blues roots, rock band from the UK, Yorkshire based with Alex Eden, lead singer, guitarist and harmonica player, drummer Richard Ferdinando and bass player Richard Green. The band glean inspiration from the likes of The Black Keys, Magic Sam, RL Burnside, Taj Mahal and Dr John. Crosscut Saw is well established and played many festivals and venues around the country over the past 30 years including; Colne Great British RnB Festival, Burnley Blues Festival, Leeds Blues Festival, Maryport Blues Festival, Beverly Blues Festival, Honey Bee Blues Club, Huddersfield Blues Club, Beat-Herder Festival, Unity Day Leeds, Hebden Bridge Blues Festival, Bluesbury Festival and Shuttle Shuffle replacing their Duck and Drake residency during the pandemic.
