We are delighted to be welcoming The Swing Commanders back to Marsden Mechanics for another evening of jump jive, western swing and vintage jazz. The band have become familiar faces here over the years, and it is always a pleasure to have them back in the building.
Drawing on music from the 1930s through to the 1950s, The Swing Commanders bring together American Songbook classics, boogie woogie, western swing and early rock and roll, all played with warmth, energy and a genuine love for the music.
Their gigs at the Mechanics always seem to take on a life of their own. Some people dance, some sit back with a drink and take it all in, but there is always a good feeling in the room. If you have seen them here before, you will know exactly what to expect. If not, this is a pretty perfect place to start.
